Medical Assistant MA WellMed Irving Texas
Tasks
- Administer non intravenous medications
- Assist physicians and nursing staff
- Coordinate patient care per provider orders and policies
- Identify patient needs and communicate with care team
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Operate diagnostic equipment including EKG
- Perform equipment quality control checks
- Perform intake screening and gather information
- Perform simple specimen collection and blood specimens via venipuncture or capillary
- Perform wound care and obtain wound cultures
- Practice infection control precautions
- Prepare and sterilize medical equipment using autoclave
- Provide patient care within scope of practice
- Record patient documentation in medical record
- Room patients and prepare for examination
- Stock and clean exam and treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Support standard delegation of orders
