Tasks
- Administer non intravenous medications
- Assist physician and nursing staff
- Change wound dressing
- Collect blood specimens via venipuncture
- Collect specimens using noninvasive techniques
- Coordinate patient care
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
- Obtain wound cultures
- Operate diagnostic equipment
- Perform electrocardiograms
- Perform equipment quality control checks
- Practice infection control precautions
- Prepare and sterilize equipment using autoclave
- Record patient care documentation
- Remove staples from superficial wounds
- Room patients and prepare for examinations
- Stock and clean exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Support standard delegation of orders
