Tasks
- Administer nonintravenous medication
- Assist physicians and nursing staff
- Collect blood specimens via venipuncture
- Coordinate patient care per provider direction and policies
- Follow privacy and confidentiality procedures
- Handle patient courtesy and respect
- Maintain infection control precautions
- Obtain wound cultures
- Operate diagnostic equipment and perform quality control
- Perform EKGs
- Perform capillary specimen collection
- Perform intake screening and gather patient information
- Perform specimen collection via noninvasive techniques
- Prepare and sterilize medical equipment using autoclave
- Record patient care documentation in medical record
- Room patients and prepare for exams
- Stock and clean exam rooms and sterilize instruments
- Support and follow Standard Delegation of Orders SDO
