Medical Assistant WellMed Round Rock
Tasks
- Administer non intravenous medications
- Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care
- Change wound dressings and obtain cultures
- Coordinate patient care as directed
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Organize exam rooms and sterilize instruments
- Perform EKGs
- Perform specimen collection and venipuncture
- Practice infection control precautions
- Record patient care documentation in the medical record
- Room patients and prepare for examination
- Screen patients by telephone and in person for intake information
- Support standard delegation of orders
