Medical Assistant WellMed St. Johns
Tasks
- Administer nonintravenous medications
- Assist physicians and nursing staff
- Change wound dressings
- Conduct patient telephone and in person intake screening
- Coordinate patient care per physician direction
- Follow privacy and confidentiality policies
- Obtain cultures
- Perform EKGs
- Perform quality control checks on equipment
- Perform specimen collection via noninvasive techniques
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection
- Practice infection control precautions
- Prepare and sterilize medical equipment using autoclave
- Record patient care documentation
- Remove staples from superficial wounds
- Room patients and prepare for examination
- Support standard delegation of orders
